The process of modifying a video game binary file (ROM file) to alter its graphics, text, levels, gameplay, etc. Romhacking is usually done by passionated hobbyists for translation purposes, to fix existing bugs, or to create a personalized version of a game that others can later enjoy.
I'm an acitve member of the Final Fantasy VI (FF6) romhacking community since 2011. I have released bug fixes, small standalone hacks that can be used by other hobbyists, utilities that can modify elements of FF6, documentation, as well as contributing to large-scale projects of other romhackers.
